The workshop/seminar (entitled "Legal instruments for the Open Data: available licenses and FreeGIS.net projects choices) provides a good theoretical introduction and a detailed overview of the legal issues relating the data release by public institutions.   The focus is set on the Geographical data and the FreeGIS.net project. Carlo Piana will personally participate with a presentation about licensing in general and about the problem concerning the proliferation of licensing models in the Open.  It's important to remember that the seminar was held in November 2012 when the so-called "Digital Agenda" reform had not been enacted into law yet. However, the slides (that are here available) have been updated after the law and the amendments went into force.
